Well bro, i guess its because combination of many sort of things; busy one at work, looking out for a new apartment, which is a result i havent got much time atm checking on new music... Another important thing is of course the quality of todays productions

In my case the lack of current italo productions is not a problem, I'm busy enough collecting stuff from the earlier years
And they are so damn rare to get at a reasonable price!
I've actually been thinking about investing on a vinyl player and maybe start buying some releases in vinyl that don't have a CD release. Like some Vanni G productions

It's often too bad that if you want some specific Vanni G song on cd for example (I say yeah, all my illusions etc), you have to go and buy a compilation to get it and then there's a possibility you get 15 other tracks that you really wouldn't care to have. And if you start buying compilations, then you have to buy the whole freaking series!
So pretty soon I believe, I will be investing on a vinyl player I've been looking at so many releases already:
Danijay - Encanto (After this I believe I have their all releases)
Thomas - Show me the way & You will fly
Mr. Konrad - 4ever
Bee&Gee - Teknobody
Blue Venice - Yes, I love U
and the list goes on... those are just some examples that at least based on discogs have only been released on vinyl.
And with some cases yea, I also buy them digital @ junodownload and then make the cds myself based on the original artwork. It's fun
