The Best Of Gigi D'Agostino

I was talking about this current situation, not in generally - if the new tracks were really on this "Best of" disc, i guess Gigi should have know about the fact that he has already licensed them for ZYX / any other label (or maybe he forgot it, just like it happened with the "Stay With Me" digital release in the past? ).

[ The only possible case which could make the disc release as it is now (without removing the new tracks), if ZYX is just about to license those tracks (less then one month before the release date, which is very unlikely...) - so when Gigi wrote about it in the topic few days ago, he had no idea about the record company's intentions... that would explain the most. But i strongly doubt this is the case... ]

Are you totally sure... ? I mean 'everyone has a price', but is it really all just about the money in case of Gigi... ? We are talking about a perfectionist man, with a really unique point of view. I bet most of his unreleased tracks aren't totally finished / mastered yet (most of his tracks always remains "inedito")...

Btw, if you have reliable sources about that price thing, i think it's time to raise funds for some epic tracks like the Mad World remix! How "steep" that price could be?

I think a CasaDag account is not certainly necessary, Gigi's main message has been translated here on IDP previously, and the quoted original text can also be found on GFU. I don't speak Italian either, but fortunately Google Translate is way enough to understand the basic message of his post in this case.

Bluestar: we investigated it back in 2007 for a compilation, I don't recall the exact amount but it was something around 1000 Euro per track (no wonder no one has licensed tracks from Gigi since then..). Good luck with the fund raising though

It's just the L'Amour Toujours album as we know. Just with another setup/tracklist. None of the tracks is less than 10 years old.

The only fact is that it's written "Tracklist subject to change" so the tracklist could eventually change even if the album will be released. 

Hopefully the unpublished traxx will be in if Zyx Music holds the rights of the songs

Actually there's still time for it, I mean they could even already change the tracklist on pysical CD and they have to update their webstore and Amazon because Zyx Music itself update Amazon item info but I don't think it happened so we might have a possibility the album will be like that, Amazon said if someone pre-order or receive an item and this is not what expected they can make a refund

Well for a Best Of including already released tracks, I still think it's pretty okay
