Torny & Seleco - Sei Giá Mia

Salvatore Tornitore and Salvatore De Rubis are the human names behind DJ Torny and DJ Seleco. They are some of the most upfront and active italodance producers and promoters in Italy these days both doing single releases, remixes, collaborations and helping other producers out. Besides producing they also run their own dance forum Italo Dance Forever Forum (IDF) together with Aelish, DJ Seleco’s girlfriend, and DJ Fole and if that doesn’t looks dedicated to you DJ Seleco also runs one of the most active italodance labels in Italy named Italo Rumble Digital located in Rome.

Sei Giá Mia was conceived last year and has actually been on its way for some time now and was finally released in February. It only includes two versions a radio and an extended version. The style is very classic italodance as it sounded back in 2004 with vocals beautifully performed by Daniele Meo another artist well known for his italo releases on Armonica Records back when that was still an italo label. Sei Giá Mia is a track incredibly easy to digest the bass line is soft but not too soft and the synthesizer chorus is pretty catchy too, a perfect match to the vocals. Overall the production quality is high with lots of musical detail, I can hardly think of anything to make the track better without going for a completely different style.

It is that sort of summer track you always miss when it is cold outside and having that in mind it is hard to think of a better time to release this track. I do not know the exact reasons for delaying the release several months but one thing is certain it was not for the remixes since this single completely lacks remixes which is also probably the only big downside that comes to mind regarding this single. Worry not, though, I heard a bird singing that a remix edition is on its way and until then this single is definitely worth to listen at least a few times while we wait.
