Mashup - Di Passagio
Mashup - Di Passagio
The project Mashup is made up of Giovanni Codraro aka DJ Gio and Slim David. After their initial release Questo Mondo, a very promising release though lacking in remixes, Mashup has brought out their second single Di Passagio under the Daniele & Viviana Mondello label Slowild Creation.
The Di Passagio release contains three rather diverse tracks. The John Crissis Remix is a version containing some of the typical house elements and a tempo at 130 BPM. This is followed by the original slowstyle mix at 105 BPM, a well done production. The TrialCore remix comes as a surprise since there was not much recent collaborate activity from DJ Gio and D@any85. Though a little slower than we are used to, the remix features the familiar TrialCore Italo style from early 2000.
Overall, this is an enjoyable release, primarily due to the range of styles. Even non-house fans can find the John Crissis remix enjoyable and the TrialCore version brings back nothing but good memories. The Mashup project, with their innovation, is a perfect addition to the Mondello label and hopefully will be releasing more in the future.

Nice review Andrea.
I completely disagree about the rating though, think the single is rather boring so would rate it 3/6

Well, compare it with previous trialcore tracks like La Mu.si.ca. and You Can fly, then it's boring

Yeah, you're right. I was more looking at current releases.
