Hoxygen - The Album

June 30th, 2011 / By: Christopher von Würden
Rating:

Andrea Zingone is the human name behind the italodance project Hoxygen. He started his musical career in 2009 with the release of debut album Just For You on fluida records but changed label shortly after. Just For You was a messy mix of different styles where no tracks really stood out, but with recent singles such as La Musique Parfait and La Chanson Fatal, Hoxygen has shown his true quality. His new album is simply called The Album, although it might not be the most inventive title it somehow still makes a lot of sense.

Kronos - Habemus Italiam

February 23rd, 2011 / By: Daniella S.
Rating:

The comeback of Gianluca Cellai, better known as Kronos, Habemus Italiam (= We have got Italy according to Google Translate), it is produced by Marco Skarica & Enzino which makes a lot of sense, considering 6 out of 8 of the tracks are named M.S. or M.S. and Enzino, while the vocals are the well known from Cellai and previous Kronos productions.

Dominik Cydlik and Antonio Caboni better known as C.Y.T. and DJ Zulan finally laid down the last barrier in their collaboration and took it to the fullest with C.Y.T. as singer instead of Jelya, the vocal on other DJ Zulan productions. As always from ARC Records, owned and run by C.Y.T. and partner Roland Binder, this release also includes a bunch of well produced remixes.

Jack Bass - Prince Of Love

September 11th, 2010 / By: Michael Waust
Rating:

Jack Bass is a project started by Antonio Cangiano and the male voice of Angelo Ciaravola, who also are together in the project Italo Tunez.

This is their first single using the synonym Jack Bass, and it is the typical love story about a guy singing how much he loves the girl. There is a male vocal singing verse and chorus with humming over. Also a female voice appears but only as hum.

Gigi D'Agostino - Ieri e Oggi Mix

June 23rd, 2010 / By: Christopher von Würden
Rating:

Yep this is not a Fata Morgana, Gigi D'Agostino is actually back with a new release, after a dry period since his previous album Suono Libero released almost 2 years ago, and countless rumours regarding a new Laboratorio 4 or an Il Cammino compilation. Last rumour has partly come true with the release ofIeri e Oggi (Means: yesterday and today) since it is a mixed compilation in the spirit of his, now off the air, radio show Il Cammino di Gigi D'Agostino.

Interview with DjPiJaLiS

April 26th, 2010 / By: IDP

When and why did you begin to produce music?

I started producing music at age 17 ... and I've always been passionate about dance music in general. I started being a DJ, but when I heard some songs I thought, "would be better if it were otherwise ...", and then decided to try to produce music and create my own style ...

What music styles are you listening to other than what you produce?

Interview with DAGMA

April 22nd, 2010 / By: IDP

When and why did you begin to produce music?
I started as a child at the age of 12 to listen dance music then moved to mixing with the vinyl of my older brother. I spent three hours a day to mix, but over time the desire to mix dance and play the songs with the keyboard was not enough. I tried something more and so I started producing in 1998 with a friend.
